This hat actually deserves 6 stars. Very well made - hats off ! ;-) Upon ordering you will receive an email with instructions for precise measuring - that makes a decisive difference. Coming from halfway around the world shipping took a while via normal (snail)mail. Expedited shipping is available upon request though. By all means it is worth the money and the wait. I would buy it again in a nanosecond and highly recommend this product - don't hesitate and go for it.

Perfect hat for the winter, best I've ever owned! If measured correctly it's a perfect fit. Just need to follow their instructions to double check size. I'm a medium generally in the US, but the Large fit perfect. Again, you have to measure as instructed.

Perfect hat for winter's frigid days. The construction shows meticulous detail. Wonderful, warm feel. Great customer service. I had my questions and concerns addressed quickly and completely. There was a problem with the original delivery. They figured out the problem and I promptly received the hat. For my next hat I will look for them first.

It fits me perfectly. They ask you to send them your head measurements, have a fabric tape measure if you are not 100% certain about this. It's a custom made hat, hard to find these days outside the very expensive ones from hatters in London or Paris. If you like the style you can't go wrong!

I just received my gray hat yesterday and my only regret is that the weather is not cold enough to wear it now! I think it looks awfully chic. Working with these folks was a delight in obtaining a truly beautiful hat.

This hat is my seventh. Many years ago I was in Chicago during the winter, walking crosstown in terrible icy wind and I saw Marshall Fields looming ahead. I dashed inside looking for a hat that would rescue my freezing scalp and stay on my head in the strong wind. I bought my first Persian Lamb Ambassador that day. I've worn out three of them. Another was stolen in an airport (the thief obviously had good taste), and there are two old but functional models still with me--but, I needed a new one. So, I took a chance. Two chances. First, I am hard to fit. Second, I wanted a gray hat, but most Persian lamb gray hats are way too monochromatic for my tastes. More mottled or dappled fur suits me better. I've looked, and the more dramatically speckled furs are hard to find.

From the time I placed the order, the folks at Legacy Hats worked with me to make sure the size was right. And, obviously they understood my descriptions of what I do and don't like in various kinds of gray Persian lamb fur--and so, I am absolutely ecstatic about the hat. It fits as well as I can possibly expect, and the fur is simply beautiful. The quality of the hat is excellent. I've had more and less expensive models of the Persian lamb ambassador. In fact, a couple of them were extremely costly--but none was constructed better than this one.

I told my son today that this gray Persian lamb ambassador hat may well be the one that is with me to the grave, and if it is, I will go happily and in enviable style. This really is a great hat, and the whole process of buying and working on getting it was fun.

This is the most comfortable and warm hat I have ever owned. Very well made and looks great! I used the sizing guide and my head measured 23 1/2 around and I wear a 7 1/2 fitted cap so I ordered an XL. When it came it was just a tad big so I solved the problem by putting a thin piece of self adhering felt on the inside in the back of the hat, didn't want to return it for a large thinking it would be too small. I don't even feel the felt and the hat fits great, don't even know that I'm wearing it. I am very pleased with it and wear it often. If your thinking of buying one ,measure your head and use the sizing guide that Legacy Hats provides, my head size was right on the border for an XL so that's why I went with that size. I priced similar hats that where well over but did not look as well made as this one and am very pleased with it!

I love this hat! They were extremely helpful in making sure that I ordered the correct size and in fact double-checked to make sure that I knew what size I had ordered (I have a large head). I appreciated their follow-up and when the hat arrived SOONER than promised, I was very pleased. In addition, upon examination the quality, look and feel of the hat are exquisite. I bought this as a winter gift for my husband. The seller was meticulous about sizing and wasn't satisfied until I sent the exact size down to a millimetre. I had to wait for a couple of weeks but the end result was perfect. Not only is the hat beautiful, it also fits perfectly. We loved it. I also bought another one from Legacy Hats - the envoy winter hat and that one fits perfectly as well. It keeps very warm. Now we just have to wait for the right weather conditions. I would definitely recommend both.
